Er kommt ins Gespräch mit der Bedienung und sagt ihr, dass er wegen Jarrett hier sei. Sie kennt ihn: er kommt manchmal auf einen Kaffee vorbei. "Aber woher kennen Sie den denn?"
"Ich kenne nur seine Platten." – "Der macht Platten?"
"Der hat das meistverkaufte Solo-Piano-Album der Geschichte gemacht, das heißt Köln Concert."
Die Bedienung dreht sich um und ruft durch den Raum:
